We don’t know about you but here at Flexicar HQ we think we deserve a long weekend. Lucky for us here in Victoria, the AFL Grand Final public holiday (29 September) is just around the corner. For footy fans heading to the celebrations or parties around town, getting into a Flexicar is the perfect way to get around quickly. For all our non-footy fans, the public holiday is the perfect excuse to avoid the footy crowds and get out of the city.
On your way to a picnic at Hanging Rock, why not stop by the Sand Art Gallery at Cope Williams Winery where there are sand sculptures made from some of the world’s best sand sculpters. This year’s theme is The Art of Music and features some creative designs that is sure to amaze visitors. The exhibition is on until 30 September so take a drive, have a wander and make sure to grab some lunch or a wine tasting at the gallery’s café.
One less day of work, means one extra day to party right? If you’re in the mood for some dancing, the Mildura Country Music Festival is back for some foot-stomping, nut-bush dancing fun! Even if country music isn’t quite your thing, Mildura also has an abundance of fresh produce and award-winning wines. So sit back and relax and enjoy some bush ballads and a glass of wine by the gorgeous Murray River.
Spring blooms a sweet smelling idea to head to the Tesselaar Tulip Festival during the long weekend. That weekend (29 September to 1 October) is the Food, Wine and Jazz weekend. It’ll be sure to provide you some Insta-worthy pictures to make all your friends jealous.
